Biography

Frederick Albert Mixter was born to Benjamin and Madeline Mixter on April 2nd 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He eventually married a woman named Annette and they moved to Haddonfield, Illinois where he became the chief of staff at Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. [1] On Halloween night, 1978, Mixter was at a country club getting heavily inebriated when he received a call about the murders taking place in the Orange Grove section of Haddonfield. He returned to the hospital to administer to a survivor, Laurie Strode. Despite Laurie's protests, Doctor Mixter kept the young girl heavily medicated. Michael Myers, the man responsible for the murders, broke into Mixter's office at the hospital and stabbed him in the eye with a syringe. His body was discovered moments later by nurse Janet Marshall.[2]
Mixter was buried at Mt. Sinclair cemetery on November 6th 1978.[1]
