The Hermit is a character in Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, played by Harper Roisman.
Biography[]
The Hermit's death.
This unnamed man was a hermit who lived on the outskirts of Haddonfield. He lived in a small shack next to the river with his parrot, Tookie. On October 31, 1988, He heard a noise outside of his shack and went to investigate. Finding nothing, he came back in and was briefly choked by a man in a white mask. The man collapsed soon after and the hermit checked up on him, removed his mask and took care of him for the following year. On October 31, 1989, the hermit was making food when the mysterious man finally woke up and stabbed the hermit in the back, killing him.
Notes and trivia[]
- This character is called "Mountain Man" in the end credits of Halloween 5.
- It is unknown why the hermit took care of Michael for an entire year after almost being killed by him.
- In an original cut of the film, the hermit was a younger man named "Dr. Death" (played by Theron Read) who is obsessed with the occult. The scenes were cut and the Dr. Death character was replaced by the older hermit.
